I’m running for School Board because La Puente has been my home for 14 years, and I care deeply about the future of our schools and our community.

As a teacher and school administrator, I know that decisions made in a boardroom eventually reach a classroom. Budgets become programs. Policies affect teachers. Staffing decisions affect students. And good governance matters.

I’m running to bring an educator’s perspective, responsible leadership, and a commitment to listening to the HLPUSD Board of Education.

WHY I’M RUNNING

Our schools face real challenges. Declining enrollment affects budgets, staffing and programs. Teachers and staff deserve to be heard when decisions affect their work. Families deserve clear communication and responsible stewardship of public resources.

And students deserve schools that prepare them not simply for the next test, but for the lives they want to build.

I believe I can be useful.

I've spent my career as both a teacher and administrator. I understand classrooms—and I understand budgets, schedules, personnel and the difficult choices educational institutions sometimes face.

I won't pretend to have every answer.

I'll do my homework. I'll listen. I'll ask good questions. And I'll make responsible decisions.

Support teachers and classified staff with competitive compensation, manageable workloads, safe schools, professional respect and the resources they need to succeed.
